Make a statement of remembrance, respect, and unity with this vivid orange tee featuring a bold “Every Child Matters” design accented by two traditional feathers tied with a red ribbon. The imagery symbolizes honour, healing, and the strength of Indigenous culture, reminding us of the resilience of survivors and the importance of protecting every child.
Why Orange Shirt Day Matters
Orange Shirt Day (September 30) is a Canadian day to honour the survivors and families affected by the Indian Residential School System and to remember the children who were taken. The symbol of the orange shirt comes from Phyllis Webstad’s story—when she was six, she arrived at residential school wearing a bright orange shirt her grandmother had bought, only to have it taken away.
Wearing orange is a visible way to show the message: every child matters. It’s about truth, reconciliation, and acknowledging the past so that healing is possible.
